Card Guard was designed with you in mind to provide the most secure way for you and your organisation to purchase petrol and diesel with your fuel card.
The industry-standard terms concerning liability for lost or stolen cards are that the customer is liable for 48 working hours from when they receive an acknowledgement from the provider that notification has been received of the lost or stolen card.
While we always endeavour to cancel or stop a card significantly quicker 48 hours, we cannot guarantee it. In some circumstances, such as a bank holiday weekend, a card could be stolen after 5:00 pm on Friday, and the customer will remain liable until 08:30 on the next working day.

Our Card Guard protection ensures that you will have no liability from when we acknowledge receipt of your fuel card cancellation. Terms and conditions apply. The cost per card and the level of protection provided are as follows.
£100 cover per card
= £0.25 per card per month
£250 cover per card
= £0.50 per card per month
£1,000 cover per card
= £1.00 per card per month
£2,500 cover per card
= £2.00 per card per month
Card Guard is simple to use.
Here’s how it works. All of your diesel & petrol cards issued by Fleetmaxx Solutions will be included in this.
Select your amount of cover
There is a small monthly charge for this service (see the levels of protection table above). Card Guard covers your business for losses up to £2,500 per card.
Report a lost/ stolen card
If you lose your card, simply contact us with your relevant card details of the card.
Peace of mind
From this point onward, you will no longer be liable for fuel card transactions. The protection is void if there is internal fraud or collusion.
