We’re pleased to share that Tom Chambers has stepped into the role of Business Development Team Leader for Kent at Fleetmaxx Solutions, based from our Whitstable office.
Tom’s role
With over six years at Fleetmaxx Solutions, Tom’s role revolves around using his experience to help the business development team achieve their goals. He provides consistent leadership and supports a positive, collaborative office environment. Most importantly, he ensures the team is set up to deliver the best possible outcomes for our customers.
Experience and approach
Drawing on over 11 years’ experience in fuel card sales, alongside a background in IT, recruitment and media sales, Tom brings a broad and practical skill set to the role. His experience and customer-focused approach consistently shine through in the positive feedback and reviews he receives, reflecting the strong relationships he builds and his commitment to helping customers save money and get more from their fleet services.
Key achievements
Since joining Fleetmaxx Solutions in 2019, Tom has consistently performed above target. Over that time, he has sold more than 23 million litres through his desk, helping businesses achieve significant cost savings. This is an achievement he’s particularly proud of, especially given the challenging periods many customers faced during COVID.
Outside of work
Outside the office, Tom has a broad range of interests. He’s a huge football fan and we try not to judge him too much for being a loyal (and long-suffering) Charlton Athletic supporter. He also enjoys playing padel and DJing at events and festivals across the UK. When he’s not doing that, you’ll likely find him planning his next skiing holiday. Above all, he’s a family man with two young children who keep life busy and fun.
