Meet Tim Foort, Business Development Manager at Fleetmaxx Northwich

With more than eight years of experience in the fuel card industry, Tim Foort knows that finding the right solution begins with understanding the business behind it.

As a Business Development Manager at Fleetmaxx Solutions Northwich, Tim works closely with customers to learn how their vehicles operate, where they refuel and what they need from their fuel card. He then uses that information to recommend a solution that genuinely suits the way they work.

“My favourite part of the job is speaking to different people and building relationships. I love finding the right solution for a customer and knowing I’ve helped them out.”

Fuel card experience customers can rely on

Tim has spent his career in sales and customer focused roles, including positions with well known fuel providers such as Esso and Certas.

This experience has given him a strong understanding of the fuel card market and the different challenges businesses face. Whether a customer wants better network coverage, simpler fuel management or an opportunity to reduce costs, Tim enjoys getting to the bottom of the problem.

He has also developed a good knowledge of HVO and can support businesses exploring alternative fuel options.

Building relationships for the long term

For Tim, business development is about more than making a sale. His focus is on developing lasting customer relationships and continuing to support each business as its requirements change.

Alongside growing his customer base, Tim is responsible for identifying new opportunities and helping customers make informed decisions about their fuelling needs. His approachable nature means he is always happy to have a conversation, answer questions and talk through the available options.

A remarkable personal achievement

Away from work, Tim enjoys spending time with family and friends, getting outdoors and going on holiday. He enjoys a good laugh and describes himself as someone who never takes himself too seriously.

However, that’s only one side to Tim. Over the past two years, Tim has been on an incredible weight loss journey. In just two years, he has managed to drop over 150lb (68kg). Anyone that has tried to lose weight will understand how stubborn the scale can be, so to accomplish a feat like this really shows the type of man Tim is. Once he has a goal, he will chase it down. 

Reaching that point has taken an enormous amount of commitment, discipline and perseverance. It has been a life changing journey for Tim and an achievement of which he is understandably proud.
