In this week’s “meet the team”, we are pleased to introduce our Credit Controller Jamie Barker. Jamie is based in our Motherwell head office. You may remember Jamie’s name as he was part of the duo to be nominated for the British Credit Awards on the 24th of March, 2022.
We sat down with Jamie to get the inside scoop of what he does for fun outside the office.
1) Where did you grow up?
I am originally from Falkirk, however moved near Glasgow almost 10 years ago.
2) What did you do before Fleetmaxx?
I worked in a legal firm doing commercial debt recovery.
3) What is the biggest challenge in your role?
Having to listen to certain members of the office staff singing along to the radio. I can assure you, they would not get any chairs turning on The Voice.
4) You control the music in the office, what type of music/ artist you playing?
I have such a varied music taste however I would stick with some 00’s pop punk.
5) Most exciting day working with Fleetmaxx?
Every day! The team in the Motherwell office make any day exciting. There is never a dull day.
6) What’s your proudest personal/ work achievement?
Being nominated for the CICM awards by my manager. Which was made even better when I found out I was a finalist. Fleetmaxx Solutions LTD have really believed in me since day 1 and it has been reflected with this.
7) What do you do outside of work?
Most of my free time is spent either with family or friends, Going to gigs.
8) If you could invite 3 celebrities dead or alive to dinner, who would you pick?
Frank Sinatra, Ayrton Senna, Johnny cash
9) Whats your favourite podcast or genre of book?
Sh**ged Married Annoyed By Chris And Rosie Ramsay.
