Putting customer success at the heart of fuel card services

Customer success is our aim

Excellence in fuel card services by Sue Florence, Director, Fleetmaxx Solutions

As Fleetmaxx Solutions continues to grow, so too does our responsibility to the customers who trust us every day. From Motherwell, Berwick and The Borders, Ipswich, Burnley, Whitstable and Northwich, to our newly opened office in Middlesbrough, our footprint may be expanding, but our focus remains exactly where it has always been: our customers.

Growth is only meaningful if it strengthens the service we provide. That is why being a trusted partner for fuel cards, AdBlue®, tracking, and wider fleet cost reduction services is not just a phrase to us. It is a promise. A promise built on service, savings and security, delivered consistently, wherever our customers are based.

With that in mind, I am delighted to share some important news that reflects this commitment.

Welcoming our new Head of Customer Success

We are proud to announce the promotion of Adam Winchcombe to the role of Head of Customer Success.

Adam will be leading our newly formed Customer Success function, a dedicated part of the business designed around a simple principle: our success is built on the success of our customers.

This team exists to make sure every customer gets the very best from their Fleetmaxx Solutions account, from understanding the full range of savings available, to ensuring the day-to-day service experience is smooth, supportive and reliable.

What customer success means at Fleetmaxx Solutions

Customer success goes beyond answering queries or resolving issues. It is about proactive engagement, regular contact, and making sure our customers feel supported at every stage of their journey with us.

Our Customer Success team will:

  • Stay in regular contact with our valued customers

  • Ensure services and solutions are fully understood and maximised

  • Help customers unlock ongoing savings across fuel, AdBlue®, tracking and compliance tools

  • Provide reassurance, continuity and a familiar point of contact

We want every customer to genuinely enjoy the service they receive, feel confident in the savings they are making, and know they have a trusted partner looking out for their fleet.

Adam’s role and approach

Adam brings a wealth of experience and a people-first mindset to this role. As Head of Customer Success, his focus will be on customer service excellence, retention, and building long-term partnerships that deliver consistent value.

In Adam’s own words:

“Customer service excellence and retaining our existing customers are fundamental to Fleetmaxx Solutions’ success. In this role, I’ll be leading our customer success strategy with a strong focus on proactive engagement, long-term partnerships, and ensuring our customers consistently achieve value from our solutions.”

Experience built on strong foundations

Adam joined Fleetmaxx Solutions in January 2023 and was promoted to Sales Manager of our Whitstable office in September of the same year. Since then, that office has gone from strength to strength, supported by a fantastic team who are fully aligned with our values and customer-first culture.

Before joining Fleetmaxx Solutions, Adam built more than 20 years of experience across sales and customer service roles in a wide range of industries, including lettings, steel stockholding, fuel cards, and the leisure sector. Throughout his career, one theme has remained constant: a genuine passion for building and maintaining strong relationships.

That passion is exactly what makes Adam such a natural fit for leading our Customer Success function.

Looking ahead

As we continue to grow nationally, investing in customer success is one of the most important decisions we can make. It ensures that, no matter how large Fleetmaxx Solutions becomes, our customers always receive the personal service, expertise and care they expect from us.

I am incredibly proud of the team we are building and excited about what this next chapter means for our customers.

Congratulations to Adam on his well-deserved promotion. I know he will play a vital role in ensuring Fleetmaxx Solutions remains a trusted partner for fleets across the UK, today and for the long term.
