We’re pleased to welcome John Hall to Fleetmaxx Solutions as Sales Manager for Middlesbrough, where he is leading the launch of our new local office as part of the business’s continued growth.
John works with businesses across the region to help reduce vehicle running costs through diesel and AdBlue savings, alongside a range of fleet solutions designed to make day-to-day operations more efficient and straightforward.
Leading Fleetmaxx Solutions in Middlesbrough
The opening of the Middlesbrough office marks an important step in Fleetmaxx Solutions’ regional expansion. John’s experience is instrumental in shaping how the office operates and how customers are supported from the outset.
With over 10 years’ experience in management roles and nine years in the fuel industry, John brings a strong analytical approach and a focus on transparency, helping businesses make informed decisions about their fleet spend and operations.
Experience across finance and fuel
John began his career in financial services with Barclaycard, progressing from customer service into a multi-skilled role covering Retentions and Complaints handling. Trusted across teams, he developed a strong understanding of complex customer needs and effective problem resolution.
He later joined the FSCS, reviewing investments and ensuring consumers were protected when financial firms failed. During this time, John was awarded Employee of the Year for his contribution to operational efficiency.
After moving into fuel card sales, John became Customer Service Manager for a newly established fuel card team before stepping into the role of Head of Service. In this position, he oversaw supplier relationships, customer retention, pricing, invoicing, and transactional data, gaining a full end-to-end view of the customer journey.
Specialisms and achievements
As part of Fleetmaxx Solutions’ continued growth, John has been closely involved in opening the Middlesbrough office, helping establish the foundations for local customer support.
He also has a keen financial mind and a strong appetite for learning. One standout achievement is completing a demanding Harvard online course in Fundamentals of International Trade and Working Capital, covering international trading rules and cross-border financial systems.
Life outside of work
Outside of work, John is a keen boxing fan and admires the technical skill involved in the sport. Joe Calzaghe and Lennox Lewis rank among his all-time favourites.
He shares his home with Kai, a very large and very fluffy Rottweiler who weighs a massive nine stone and requires a serious feeding schedule. Walks often include a stop at the local pub, a decision John insists is always Kai’s idea.
John also enjoys audiobooks and does some writing in his spare time.
